King Diamond has released a free download of his collaboration track with Volbeat. You can grab the remixed version of Room 24 here.
The alternative take was masterminded by Jacob Hansen after the original version was recorded for Volbeat’s new album Outlaw Gentlemen & Shady Ladies, out tomorrow.
The record is their first with former Anthrax guitarist Rob Caggianio on board, and also features guest spots from blues harpist Paul Lamb and Canadian rockabilly singer Sarah Blackwood.
Frontman Michael Poulsen says: “I’m a huge fan of Mercyful Fate and King Diamond. Having King on the record is a huge privilege. Normally, it’s not something he does. He wrote his own lines – it is half my lyrics and half his. It’s a weird, scary story, and he’s the perfect person for it.”
